Ive tried every HN client available over the past few years and this beats them all. You can comment, flick back from the view hierarchy (most HN clients havent even been recompiled since iOS 6), the typography is clean and comments are collapsible. Everything I need.

Easily the best HN client for iOS. Clean, responsive, functional. EDIT: downvoted comments are unreadable against the "dark mode" background. turning brightness up (flipping background to white and disabling "dark mode") fixes the issue. subtracting one star til this is resolved – presumably one way to do this would be to simply invert the text color of downvoted comments on "dark mode"

Updated review for iOS 10. Same as before: Very clean interface for Hacker News. Auto night mode is a nice touch for late night tech news/discussion. One of the nicest developers youll encounter. Works great under iOS 10.

I tried all the existing iPhone HN client and Minihack is definitely the best one: performant, reliable, good UI, lot of features. Worth the price.

One of the better HN reader I found. You can easily upvote and access profiles. Commenting is possible but strangely not at the root. It lacks offline reading caching, and the reader mode (which strip and simplify the page) is slow and not fully integrated because its processed externally by a reader mode service.

App would be nice if usable. Last versions always lose connection. Current version 2.5.1 is the worst. Cant load any content.

Ive tried most of the HN apps and have been waiting for one that would combine with Readability and Pocket, while incorporating swipe gestures and a great user interface; this is the best by far. A couple little things that could be improved, but Im very happy with the purchase.

This is by far the best hacker news app Ive tried, and Ive tried all 23 of them. Its got every feature on the main site and includes a nice bunch of mobile features.

Great app, I was looking for an alternative to hackernode that would allow me to view/collapse comment threads easily and this fits the bill perfectly. It looks great too!

This app is the primary way I consume hacker news articles.

The automatic day/night mode and the choice of fonts and sizes are welcomed addition to an already great app. And thanks for the prompt update to the logging issue.

I tried a dozen of free and commercial hacker news readers. This one is the best!

This app is just perfect. I tested a lot of alternative and this one is by far my favorite :)
